In this lesson, learners will have fun listening to a story called "Pitch and Throw, Grasp and Know: What Is a Synonym?" by Brian P. Cleary. The story uses rhyme to showcase a variety of synonyms and funny characters. Students will improve their understanding of synonyms. They will also be able to listen to a story and be able to share synonyms from the story. Finally, students will be able to write or draw synonyms on a craft.

Parental guidance is needed when the students use scissors to cut out the pictures.
