Description
Class Experience
In this lesson, learners will have fun listening to a story called "Pitch and Throw, Grasp and Know: What Is a Synonym?" by Brian P. Cleary. The story uses rhyme to showcase a variety of synonyms and funny characters. After the story, we will play an interactive synonym game, where the students get to control the screen using their computer mouse or touch pad. Then we will make a yummy Cinnamon Synonym craft. The students will need to think of 4 synonym pairs to write on the plates and...
Students will improve their understanding of synonyms. They will also be able to listen to a story and be able to share synonyms from the story. Finally, students will be able to write or draw synonyms on a craft.
1 file available upon enrollmentStudents will need the attached printables, scissors, a pencil, and crayons or markers.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is needed when the students use scissors to cut out the pictures.
