US Grade Kindergarten - 2
In this lesson, learners will have fun listening to a story called "Feet & Puppies, Thieves & Guppies: What Are Irregular Plurals?" by Brian P. Cleary. The story uses rhyme to showcase a variety of irregular plural nouns and funny characters. After the story, we will play an interactive Irregular Plural Nouns game, where the students get to control the screen using their computer mouse or touch pad. Then we will make a Super-Duper, Ultra-Extreme, Irregular Noun Changing Machine using the attached printables. This class is great for children who are just learning about irregular plural nouns, or to provide extra practice for learners who already know about irregular plural nouns. Let's start our noun learning!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of irregular plural nouns. They will listen to a story and share irregular plural nouns from the story. Finally, students will be able to create a craft to continue to practice irregular plural nouns.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! I'm Teacher Shannon! I have taught 2nd grade for 24 years. I've taught both Gifted and Regular Education. I was a substitute teacher for 2 years working with Early Childhood students as well as older elementary students. My passion is reading! I love Children's Literature and I have even co-taught college level students on "What's New In Children's LIterature?" for the last 10 years. What drives me as a teacher is to have a fun, safe, interactive classroom while embracing lots of quality literature. I want kids to love reading as much as I do and to have fun learning! And maybe make a craft or two along the way!
