By listening to the book Dear Deer by Gene Barretta, learners will meet Aunt Ant who knows all of the animals at the zoo. This book is filled with homophones and fun animals, like the hoarse horse and the wailing whale! After the story, we will play an interactive homophone game, where the students get to control the screen using their computer mouse or touchpad. Then we will make a Homophone Hare craft. Students will improve their understanding of homophones. They will also be able to listen to a story and be able to share homophones from the story. Finally, students will be able to use a pair of homophones and write them on a craft.
