In this lesson, learners will have fun listening to a story about an apostrophe named Alfie. It's time for tryouts for the punctuation talent show, and little Alfie the Apostrophe doesn't think he can beat the "more exciting" marks with his simple magic show (making letters disappear). - Students will improve their understanding of contractions. They will also be able to listen to a story and be able to share contractions from the story. Students will get to practice finding contractions during a game. Finally, students will be able to read some contractions in a poem about a whale.
