**This class can be taken as a stand-alone course or used as a prerequisite for my "Grammar Rules! Common Grammatical Errors and How to Fix Them" class.** This four-class course teaches a foundational curriculum that provides the basis for all other grammar study. To understand grammar rules, one must first be able to successfully identify parts of speech. By understanding the defining characteristics of nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and prepositions, it is much easier for students to go on to more advanced grammatical concepts. Through teacher instruction, printable handouts, class activities, short homework assignments, and personalized teacher feedback, students will learn and feel confident about the various parts of speech. Lesson Schedule: 1. Nouns & Pronouns 2. Verbs (Action & State-of-Being) 3. Adjectives & Adverbs 4. Prepositions & Review

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been teaching English and writing to students from middle to graduate school for over 20 years. I've helped students write essays, research papers, SAT essays, college application essays, and even edited PhD dissertations. One of my greatest joys is to break down the (seemingly) daunting task of grammar usage and writing into small, manageable, and easy-to-understand steps. Everyone can write, and it's my job to show them how!
