Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
Get ready to level up your grammar and writing skills this summer at Grammar Camp!
This two-week camp combines my popular one-time grammar classes into a singular camp, so students can experience a comprehensive grammar course that includes daily review, short homework assignments to reinforce each lesson, and teacher feedback! Students will be introduced to new concepts each day through interactive activities and in-class practice, then given a short homework assignment to complete and turn in for feedback. At the end of each week of camp, students will practice putting all of the skills together through interactive activities to cement what they've learned throughout the week and apply it to their future writing and communications. This camp will give students the confidence and skills they need to improve their writing and communication skills for high school and beyond!

What You Get:
• Full Handouts for EACH Lesson. Your student will have a mini TEXTBOOK to refer to again and again!
• Personalized Instruction. I work with each student in class to talk through the concepts to aid them in mastery no matter their skill level.
• Personalized Feedback. All assignments get personalized feedback from me. I not only correct the errors, I tell your student WHY each item was incorrect.
• One-on-One Mentoring and Support. Throughout the class, I can be accessed in the private classroom messaging feature. I am there to answer questions, provide additional clarification, give feedback, and offer support. Your student's interactions with me don't end when class is over.

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been teaching English and writing to students from middle to graduate school for over 20 years. I've helped students write essays, research papers, SAT essays, college application essays, and even edited PhD dissertations. One of my greatest joys is to break down the (seemingly) daunting task of grammar usage and writing into small, manageable, and easy-to-understand steps. Everyone can write, and it's my job to show them how!
