In this 2 week review class, Ms. Jocelyn will be discussing and practicing a different topic related to grammar and sentence structure. There will be mini lessons on the topic and interactive classwork for students to practice their skills. Classwork may include: writing a paragraph and identifying parts of speech, looking up words in an online dictionary to expand vocabulary, etc. - Week 1 Monday: Nouns and Pronouns - Singular/Plural Common/Proper Tuesday: Verbs and Adverbs - Verb Tenses Wednesday: Adjectives/Expanding Vocabulary Synonyms/ Antonyms Thursday: Subject/Predicate and Simple/ Complex Sentences - Week 2 Monday: Prepositions and Conjunctions Tuesday: Contractions and Putting Together Parts of Speech Wednesday: Creating a Story and Adding Dialogue Thursday: Story Sharing/ Review Game

Student will review aspects of grammar and sentence structure to be able to write a well thought-out story.

Optional handouts will be made available. Students may choose to use them to take notes and refer to topics after class ends. Paper and pencil are recommended for note taking and sentence writing.

Hi friends! I cannot wait to learn with you! I earned a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. Currently, I live in Michigan with my husband and our fur babies. You may even see a guest appearance from some of them!
I believe that learning should be fun and exciting! Learning something new should transport us into a new world where we can use our imaginations to grow ideas. Children need movement and exploration to develop skills- even through a screen! My classes focus on building from the ground up. If we do not have a solid foundation, then we cannot build up too high. My classes are learner focused and I adjust difficulty based on student and parent feedback.
My job as an educational facilitator is to model and provide students with the tools they need to be successful. I am very excited for us to work together to learn skills that we can carry with us on our educational journey.
