Grammar in 20 Minutes (Part 1 of 8) - Prepositions (Elementary Edition) ELA

Grammar doesn't have to be boring, and it doesn't need to take a long time! In this multi-day course, students will learn to identify and use prepositions correctly. Students will learn that we can use the preposition and the prepositional phrase to find the other parts of speech! In each class, the students will be given a short lesson with examples before having the opportunity to create their own sentences and share them with the class! Students will have the chance to ask questions to ensure mastery of the material during class and they can send me messages if they have questions after class!  In the final week, students will review what they have learned, and they will prepare to move to the next part in the series! 

Each 25-minute class will follow this basic schedule:
                  -Introductions and light conversation 
                  -Lesson 
                  -Examples and student input. Students will identify the parts of the sentence, fill in the blanks, and write their own sentences. 
                      independently. 


Grammar in 20 Minutes: Prepositions is the first in an 8-part series. After completing this course, students can move to the next section- Grammar in 20 Minutes: Verbs. As students move through the complete series, they will build a strong grammar foundation that they can use to improve their reading comprehension and writing skills!
