We hear idioms all the time. What does it mean when we say "Don't spill the beans!"? Join the class and find out! We will begin class with some quick hellos and go over some very simple class rules. I will make sure each student understands what an idiom is. Some idioms that we will cover are: Hold your horses It's a piece of cake Spill the Beans These are just a few of the idioms we will learn and talk about. We will be drawing idioms! So bring a pencil and your choice of colored pencils, markers or crayons. Oh, and don't forget to bring your imagination! By the end of class, each student will have 4 to 8 idioms that they will draw. The number of idioms drawn will depend on time. I will ask questions and encourage students to share. If they are shy it is alright and they can still participate by using the chat box to answer questions. I will encourage students to share their idiom pictures. So, come join me on some fun!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in English from CALIFORNIA State University Long Beach
Welcome to my classroom!
Hello! My name is Angie Lampietti. I have my B.A. in English from California State University, Long Beach. I am also a TESOL certificated teacher. I have taught Pre-kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten. I was a Substitute Teacher (Kindergarten-12 grade) in Public and Private schools. I taught a year of RTI (Reading intervention) classes to Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 5th grade. I am presently an ESL Teacher and have been teaching for 4 years.
I knew growing up that I wanted to be a teacher. It really was a dream come true and I have learned so much from the experience. I feel it is important for children to enjoy learning. Have fun with how they learn. Play and sharing are so important in learning. As a Transitional Kindergarten teacher, it was my job to teach kids how to get along, share, respect our friends, have fun in play and learn.
I have an amazing husband and 3 fun and amazing children ages 15, 12, and 9. My family loves nature walks, amusement parks, and spending time together. I am so lucky to be working online and being home for my kids. I do miss working in my Brick and Mortar classroom and I miss my TK kids but seeing the smile on my own kid's faces is awesome!
Please check out my classes. I have classes for all age groups. Keep checking back as more classes get added. Thank you!
