Description
Class Experience
Students will review the vocabulary words. Students will complete the "Advanced Guardians" page each week. Depending on your child, some class assignments may need to be finished for homework as below: Week 1: Create a homophone memory matching game. Week 2: Finish the acronyms word search. Week 3: None Week 4: Finish writing the parts of speech for each word. Week 5: Review all of the vocabulary words and your mission manual.
Students will need to purchase the Mission Manual as an ebook. It costs $25 and can be used for all Protostar courses. It can also be shared by one family. OR you can purchase the printed manual for $30 https://grammargalaxybooks.com/product/grammar-galaxy-protostar-print-mission-manual/ Students will also need a highlighter and a pencil. Students will need a dictionary for week 5.
Vocabulary words and language arts skills from previous classes will be reviewed at the beginning of each mission. A multiple choice unit assessment will also be given at the end of each unit.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
