Complete, Fragment, & Run-on Sentences
Students will learn how to identify and fix sentence fragments and run-ons by transforming them into complete sentences.
Lesson 2
Verb Tenses
Students will learn how to identify and write in simple past, present, and future; progressive past, present, and future; and perfect past, present, and future.
Lesson 3
Dependent & Independent Clauses
Students will learn how to identify and write dependent and independent clauses to create compound and complex sentences.
Lesson 4
Subject & Object Pronouns
Students will learn how to identify and write subject and object pronouns in sentences as well as the words I and me.
Lesson 5
Comparative & Superlative Adjectives & Adverbs
Students will learn how to write comparative and superlative adjectives and adverbs while learning how to differentiate between them.
Lesson 6
Possessive Nouns
Students will learn how to identify and write singular and plural possessive nouns by adding an apostrophe in the correct place.

Lesson 7
Subject & Predicate
Students will learn how to identify and write the simple and complete subject or predicate of each sentence.
Lesson 8
Appositives & Infinitives
Students will learn how to identify and write appositive and infinitive phrases in sentences.
Lesson 9
Declarative, Interrogative, Imperative, & Exclamatory
Students will learn how to identify and write declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sentences with correct ending marks.

Plural Compound Nouns
Students will learn how to create plural nouns including plural compound nouns.
Lesson 11
Commas: Direct Addresses, Introductory Words, Interjections, & Interrupters
Students will learn how to add commas to sentences with direct addresses, introductory words, interjections, & interrupters.

Correlative Conjunctions
Students will learn how to identify and write correlative conjunctions to show connection within a sentence.

Prepositional Phrases
Students will learn how to identify and write prepositions and prepositional phrases within sentences.
Lesson 14
Linking Verbs
Students will learn how to identify and write linking verbs, predicate adjectives, and predicate nouns.

Reflexive, Intensive, & Personal Pronouns
Students will learn how to identify and write reflexive and intensive pronouns while comparing them to personal pronouns.

Direct & Indirect Objects
Students will learn how to identify and write direct and indirect objects in sentences.

Students will learn how to identify and write indefinite pronouns while ensuring the present tense verb agrees in number.

Misplaced or Dangling Modifiers
Students will learn how to identify and fix misplaced or dangling modifiers to create clear writing.
Lesson 23
Compound Subjects with Correct Verbs
Students will learn how to choose the correct present tense verb when writing with a compound subject.
Lesson 24
Semicolons, Colons, & Commas
Students will learn how to identify and use semicolons, colons, and commas in a series or clause.
Students will learn grammar terms, parts of speech, and how to format and write grammatically correct sentences.
Homework Offered
There will be two printable activities, one discussion question, and multiple Nearpod activities for each lesson each day. It should take about 20-30 minutes to complete the homework for each lesson (2-3 hours each week in addition to the videos). This class is on a flexible schedule and assignments can be completed on your own time even after the class formally ends.

A formal report card and grade will be given upon request.

-Two worksheets will be provided for each lesson (48 pages total). These can be printed or completed using a pdf writer or electronic marking system.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Nearpod will be used to provide students access to online activities like fill-in-the-blank or matching activities as well as a quiz game related to the lesson's content. No login is needed.
