NOTE: If this class isn't being offered LIVE for a time that you need, please consider checking out my Grammar Detective Bundle Flex course. This is a video course grammar bundle that will take your child to the zoo, playground, farm, and under the sea for a fantastic amazing learning adventure. The videos are different from the LIVE class and are filled with much more adventure. The Grammar Detectives are given a new mission each time and there is more variety. Handouts will be provided each week that goes along with the lesson. Grammar Detectives: Under the Sea - Diving for Adverbs will take your child on an adventure under the sea. We will start out on the beach to begin learning about what an adverb does and how to find adverbs. Adverbs can be very confusing. I am hoping this exciting class will help to make learning adverbs easy. Students will collect the treasure adverbs and keep them in their treasure chests on a printout. A printout will be attached inside the classroom that you may print out for your child. I include everyone during class time. I love a lot of interaction. I also will show an exciting PowerPoint throughout the lesson filled with animated visuals that will help reach the learning objectives.
Learning Goals
We will be learning all the questions that adverbs answer: how, where, when, and how often. This is a very basic introduction to adverbs. It is great for an introduction or a review of adverbs. I am gearing this class towards 5-9 year olds. If your child is older, he/she is welcome to take part but please be advised that it may be too simple for them. I have many other beginning grammar classes. Please check them out.

I have always loved the challenge of teaching grammar and making it fun to learn. Fun with words is what I like to call it. I love using visuals and interactive games and activities along with the use of picture books to peak the students' interests. I have taught grammar for 15 years to grades K-8.
