Welcome to Mrs. Clayborn's Classroom! In my grammar club we will talk about the difference between synonyms, antonyms and homonyms. The club meetings are broken up into four classes. The first class we will dive into antonyms, practicing them and finding them. The second class will be devoted to synonyms and creating our own. Third class will be working on homonyms and practicing the different spellings. The fourth class I will be a combination of all three and an informal assessment to insure that your student shows confidence in them now. We will play a game where they must identify the correct answer, and some where they must give their own answer all while socializing with other kids their age! I will use research-based strategies to help your child achieve comprehension and confidence in the three points. I have tutored online for the past 3 years and homeschooled my own children with this same lesson. It will be adapted for your student.

Your student will learn the difference between the three grammar points, work on spelling, speaking and writing.
