Class Experience
In this five session section we will review five different grammar concepts - one each day we meet. Day 1 - antonyms and synonyms Day 2 - commonly confused words (examples: they're/their/there, two/to/too, farther/further etc) Day 3 - nouns, verbs, adjectives Day 4 - homonyms, homographs and homophones Day 5 - articles (a, an, the) In each class I will explain the topic and provide many examples. We will play games and hopefully have some fun. I will strive to give all students a chance...
In this crash course students will study five different areas of grammar. I will explain the importance of proper grammar and teach students how to express themselves accurately and clearly. The topics covered are basic elementary grammar skills and I expect most students will have previously studied them. Our goal is to review and clarify. We will use many examples in each lesson and all students will be encouraged to participate. I will also expect students to learn from their peers and think cooperatively when necessary. Proper grammar usage provides lifelong benefits and opens many doors for future employment. In this class I hope to teach students that grammar can be fun and rewarding.
