What will be taught?

This self-paced class focuses on reviewing the eight parts of speech: nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, pronouns, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections. Students will learn their definitions, functions, and examples, as well as how to identify and use them in sentences.

What topics will you cover?

Nouns: Identifying and using names for people, places, things, or ideas.

Verbs: Understanding action words and states of being.

Adjectives: Describing nouns and adding detail to sentences.

Adverbs: Modifying verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs.

Pronouns: Replacing nouns to avoid repetition.

Prepositions: Showing relationships between words in a sentence.

Conjunctions: Joining words, phrases, or clauses.

Interjections: Expressing emotion and adding emphasis.

How is your class structured?

The class is structured into four key segments:

1. Introduction: An engaging video welcomes learners and outlines the objectives for the class.

2. Quick Review : Clear explanations of each part of speech, with examples provided in video or slide format.

3. Interactive Practice: Hands-on activities such as matching games, sentence identification exercises, and a quick quiz with instant feedback.

4. Wrap-Up: A recap of what was learned, an optional challenge to create a labeled sentence, and encouragement to continue practicing.

How much will learners get to interact with you?

Since this is a self-paced class, learners will not interact directly with me during the lesson. However, they will have access to pre-recorded videos, detailed instructions, and activities designed to feel engaging and personal. I am available for follow-up questions or support through the platform if needed.

This class provides a supportive and engaging environment for students to refresh and strengthen their understanding of grammar fundamentals, setting them up for success in writing and communication.

Learning Goals
