This class is jam packed with lessons and interactive activities to build ALL essential English Language Arts skills. Each week we focus on a different skill. A lesson is presented on that skill, we practice the skill together, then learners will practice the skill independently on Nearpod slides. Learning Goals
We study vocabulary, grammar, spelling, synonyms, antonyms, homographs, easily confused words, Latin and Greek roots, similes, metaphors, common idioms, adages, proverbs, personification, and hyperbole.
We also study alliteration, cause and effect relationships, words that signal comparison, words that signal contrast, words that signal addition, homonyms, multiple-meaning phrases, analogy word relationships, and more!

Parental Guidance
Each lesson is conducted using Nearpod. Nearpod is a digital tool that allows learners to practice each skill for the teacher to see and provide feedback. No account is necessary to access Nearpod slides. Learners will use a link sent in the chat to access the platform.
