Class Experience

Has your child mastered many of the Kindergarten pre-primer and primer words?  Are they ready to challenge themselves and learn some Grade 1 sight words?   I am a certified elementary school teacher and I have lots of expertise teaching children how to read. Sight words are the words that appear most frequently in our reading and writing.  They are often words that are difficult to sound out and therefore simply need to be memorized.  By easily recognizing these words, young readers are much...

Students will be able to recognize sight words.
Students will practice spelling the words.
Students will practice writing the words.
Students will review the words through an interactive game.

Please bring a whiteboard and markers or pencil and paper.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
