US Grade 8 - 9
Beginner - Intermediate Level
The following topics will be taught weekly for 9 weeks. We will need a total of 18 classes to finish the whole topic at a fast pace and I suggest meeting twice a week. Week 1 : Introduction to Chemistry, Safety and Measurements Week 2: Matter and Its Interactions Week 3: Periodic Table Week 4: Chemical Bonding and IMF Week 5: Writing and Naming Chemical Formulas Week 6: Chemical Reactions and Balancing Week 7: Moles, and Stoichiometry Week 8: Thermochemistry Week 9: Light, Stars, and Nuclear Energy There will be weekly homework (not graded) to help students understand concepts better.
