Description
Class Experience
Step-by-step lesson plan: - Review the concept of a line and the equation for a line (y = mx+b). Introduce the t chart and explain how it can be used to organize information and make predictions. - Provide students with a graph and have them work in pairs to find two points on the graph. - Have students use the two points to solve for the equation for the line. - Have students use the equation to fill out a t chart, predicting the values of y for a given value of x. - Check for understanding...
By the end of this lesson, students should understand how to find two points on a graph, solve for the equation for a line, and use a t-chart to organize and make predictions.
We will be using a math handout in class to assess your learner's progress and understanding of the material. The handout will be filled out digitally during class time and will be submitted to me at the end of the class. I will be grading the handout in order to evaluate your child's understanding of the material. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me. I am always happy to discuss your child's progress and provide any additional information or support that may be needed.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
