Grade 5 Math & Science- Ongoing 1-1 Private Tutoring

This class will cover all the topics in grade 5 maths and will be customized as per student's needs. Topics can be learned in the desired order. I teach students at a pace that suits them and, also, finish the syllabus on time.


1. Numbers and Operations
-Multiplication and Division: Multiply and divide by powers of ten, large whole numbers, and understanding rectangular arrays.
-Fractions: Add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators, multiply fractions by fractions or whole numbers, and divide fractions by whole numbers.
-Decimals: Read, write, compare, and perform operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) with decimals, including using parentheses in expressions.
-Exponents and Powers of Ten: Understanding and using exponents in mathematical operations.

2. Geometry
-3D Shapes and Volume: Understanding rectangular prisms and calculating volumes of three-dimensional shapes.
-Coordinate Planes: Plotting points and interpreting data on coordinate planes.
2D Shapes: Categorizing two-dimensional shapes based on their properties and attributes.

3. Measurement
-Unit Conversion: Converting between different measurement units (metric and customary systems).
-Word Problems: Solving multi-step word problems involving measurement.

4. Data Analysis
-Line Plots: Creating and interpreting line plots to display data and solve real-world problems.

5. Mathematical Practices
-Emphasis on problem-solving, reasoning, argumentation, and precision in mathematical tasks.
