Grade 5 Integers (Working With Negative Numbers)

In this class we will develop our understanding of integers (negative numbers) by learning how they compare with positive values, placing integers on a number line, as well as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing negative numbers.
Class Experience
US Grade 5
The class will begin by discussing what the student already knows about integers. Then, we will go over any notes from class or the textbook used by their teacher at school on that topic. The student is welcome to share their screen with any content provided by their school teacher, or just discuss with me. After this, I will assess their current understanding of working with integers through a guided discussion involving some questions and visual examples on the zoom whiteboard. Next, we...
