This class will be 2 times a week for 4 weeks (pt 1 of 4 parts) in cursive handwriting, Spelling with Teacher Kathy.

Welcome to English class (Language Arts). In this class we will be learning cursive handwriting, Spelling. This is a 3 part class, 4 weeks each part. This is part 1 of 3. We will meet 2 days a week. Students will need paper and pencil for each class. Each week learners will attend two 45 minutes classes, phonics and spelling Class Schedule: Jan 9 to Feb 3. Language Arts: Students will learn to read, write in cursive and spell the list words given in class. Students will practice spelling through writing, reading, and spelling aloud. This allows students to use several of their senses to help practice spelling and will better help them remember how to spell.
I am a veteran homeschool mom of 20+ years. I also have a Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology. I believe through reading, writing, and spelling aloud, students will better remember how to spell words, and practicing weekly will help them become better spellers. I believe each student learns differently so by providing several different ways for students to practice their spelling is a goal I include in each of my classes. I try to also use patience and go at the speed of each student with all of my classes.

Language Arts: : Students are encouraged to practice using each of these words weekly through either the worksheet provided in the classroom, and/or the interactive online game.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
