Bachelors (4.2 GPA) in English Literature and Music Masters degree (4.0 GPA) in Composition I have 19 years experience working with teens with academics and creativity, whether it may be with sharpening writing skills, honing in on proper grammar, and even discovering one's true writer's voice. In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Parents are the best judge of their learners' sensitivities and maturity. Some of the pieces we will read are intense, and a few bring up sensitive issues, such as violence or emotional distress. I would be happy to provide links for parents to preview any of the literature they are concerned about.
