Description
Class Experience
During this course we will cover the basics of how government is run and works. This will work to meet the Common Core Standards for fourth grade. Students will be expected to watch teacher-made videos on the learning concepts and complete activities based upon these lessons. Students will also be asked to complete weekly discussions. In which they will have time to interact with each other as well as the teacher. Students will be asked to respond to at least two classmates weekly. Students...

Handouts will be provided for students to complete.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
In this class students will be encouraged to discuss politics, as well as the presidential election. Students will be taught that everyone’s opinions matter and are encouraged to form their own throughout the class.
