Class Experience
Gaining a better understanding of the text - Character Development, the use of Setting, Symbolism, Etc. As well as have a little fun looking into the life of the author.
I enjoy Gothic literature and have been studying it for years A Bachelor's Degree in English Experience working with teens involving Gothic Literature
Reading chapters before class - This helps the student to be able to engage in each lesson.
If the students would like to borrow the book from their local library they may. Purchasing the book is a plus in the case that they may wish to take notes. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Grades provided upon request: Participation Reading
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
As this is a tale written in the 1800s - A time in which death and corruption were a serious influence on the lives of the writers of this time - There will be heated topics such as murder, death, addiction, etc. We will very briefly cover these topics but in a respectful light and with caution.
