2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
I will provide weekly feedback via a Google Doc, where all assignments and activities will be entered.
Grades Offered
Everything is included in the classroom, but learners may find a hard copy of the novels to be more beneficial than an eBook.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Though the novels do not necessarily have mature content, they do involve complex themes and relationships that may be difficult for some readers to understand. Alcohol consumed in all three, mostly for what was believed to be medicinal purposes, and domestic violence is a topic, thought not graphically detailed, in the last novel. Children at an orphanage are abused/neglected in Jane Eyre. Be sure to check out the reviews at Common Sense Media.
All of the novels are in the public domain and can be accessed at nor price in the US at Projectgutenberg.org.
