Goosebumps Book Club #1 (3 Books, 3 Weeks)
In this three week class, we will dive into three Goosebumps books (The Haunted Mask, A Night in Terror Tower, and Stay Out of the Basement) through independent reading. Students will discuss the book and practice reading comprehension.

Join me in this three week book club we will dive into the exciting and creepy world of the Goosebumps books! I absolutely love scary books and am so excited to share them with you! In class I will encourage active participation. Each week, students will be required to read one Goosebumps book (the books for each week are listed below). Each class students will give their thoughts and opinions on the book. What did they like? What did they not like? We will also discuss character progression, atmosphere, story plot, and what they think the author was thinking when writing the book. ****Please read the first book (The Haunted Mask) before our first class!**** WEEK ONE: "The Haunted Mask" Discussion: Character development, plot development, story resolution, lessons learned and how we can apply them to every day life, and overall thoughts and opinions on this book. WEEK TWO: "A Night in Terror Tower” Discussion: Character development, plot development, story resolution, lessons learned and how we can apply them to every day life, and overall thoughts and opinions on this book. WEEK THREE: "Stay Out of the Basement” Discussion: Character development, plot development, story resolution, lessons learned and how we can apply them to every day life, and overall thoughts and opinions on this book. My teaching style is one of excitement, patience, and encouragement!
Learning Goals
Students will work on their independent reading skills. They will build on their discussion and conversational skills. They will strengthen their reading comprehension.
