Students will be taught how to make a digital Viking Adventure scene using 70+ digital graphics pieces to choose from on a personal digital playset that can be copied and manipulated in Google Slides. Create your own Viking ship with ship building pieces. Other pieces include male and female, old and young Viking characters, dragons and flames, sea monster, weapons, land & sea, clouds, sun, moon, and star, helmets and banners, and many more. Students will practice their graphic design skills while learning how to use Google Slides' tools creatively. We will chat about Vikings, play a few games, learn and practice tips and tricks, and create a colorful final copy. This class is not cut and paste with scissors and glue, it is a "digital" art craft (graphic design). It is technical and requires the student to be able to access Google Slides, use a computer mouse and keyboard, and locate and click on words like, "Arrange", "Format options", "Backwards", and "Rotation". I will teach where the Google Slides tools are, what they mean, and how to use them to manipulate the pieces into a colorful, digital watercolor, Viking Adventure image for you to keep and print in high resolution. Take the class again and again to create new Viking Adventure scenes. See you soon!

Parental Guidance
Students will need access to an adult account of Google Slides (American English version.) A link to my shared Google Slides art playset will be sent during the live class.
Supply List
REQUIRED: Google Slides (American English Version) - Open and ready to receive your personal play set during class. A desktop computer or laptop and computer mouse for each learner. Please avoid Chromebooks, tablets, and school accounts. SUGGESTED: A large viewing screen.

I have a college degree in Elementary Education with an Art minor. I earned U.S.A. teaching certificates in Hawaii, Arizona, and Utah. I've taught 7th grade English Literature, 5th grade elementary school, after school programs, swimming lessons, summer school, jewelry making, and digital art. I've privately tutored Reading, Writing, Math, and Google Slides Presentations/Slideshows.
I took a break from full-time teaching to raise a family. Currently, I'm a Special Education para-professional and help elementary students with a variety of special needs achieve their goals in both academics and behaviors.
I have lived in Florida, Utah, Hawaii, Arizona, Brazil, and Jerusalem, and explored Egypt, Israel, Canada, Mexico, and many of the United States of America. Other than English I speak a bit of Portuguese, Hawaiian Pidgin English, Pig Latin, and American Sign Language.
I love mind games, word games, illusions, weird facts, current events, children's literature, Adobe Photoshop, old photos, macro photography, art of all kinds, Hawaii, the ocean, sea life, ukulele and guitar music, quilt designs, graphics, flowers, birds, swimming, watercolor, Zentangles, calligraphy, and fonts. For fun I like to freeze dry food, restore old photos digitally in Adobe Photoshop, and create digital art.
