Class Experience

Want more time with my playsets to create your graphic designs? Consider this class like OPEN GYM but instead - OPEN PLAYSETS. This class gives learners access to my extensive personal collection of graphics playsets in order to practice graphic design, digital art skills, and Google Slides’ creative tools. Based on learner's needs or requests, I will briefly teach one new Google Slides or graphic design skill each session, and the rest of the time will be free time to create art from the playset of each student’s choice. Over 40 playsets from which to choose and more will be added from time to time. Access to playsets are only available during live class time.

Playset themes include: unicorns, dragons, spaceships, robots, cute monsters, koalas, ocean sea life, flowers, peacocks, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Halloween, llamas, beach, Boho, snowman, codes, faux hieroglyphics, penguins, woodland animals, wild animals, paper dolls, fairies, life cycles, insects, Nordic, aliens, dinosaurs, architecture, Vikings, abstract, castle, sloths, etc.

During class I will be available for questions and general guidance as needed throughout the class. Students may share designs through screen sharing while creating or when finished may show off their final design. At the end of class learners will receive high quality digital copies of any artwork they completed during class time.

Final artwork can be sent digitally to family or friends in email, posted on social media, shown off on the Outschool review, added to your graphic design portfolio, made it into a card, or printed out as wall decoration.

Aloha! I'm happy you found me.

I have a college degree in Elementary Education with an Art minor. I earned U.S.A. teaching certificates in Hawaii, Arizona, and Utah. I've taught 7th grade English Literature, 5th grade elementary school, after school programs, swimming lessons, summer school, jewelry making, and digital art. I've privately tutored Reading, Writing, Math, and Google Slides Presentations/Slideshows.

I took a break from full-time teaching to raise a family. Currently, I'm a Special Education para-professional and help elementary students with a variety of special needs achieve their goals in both academics and behaviors.

I have lived in Florida, Utah, Hawaii, Arizona, Brazil, and Jerusalem, and explored Egypt, Israel, Canada, Mexico, and many of the United States of America. Other than English I speak a bit of Portuguese, Hawaiian Pidgin English, Pig Latin, and American Sign Language.

I love mind games, word games, illusions, weird facts, current events, children's literature, Adobe Photoshop, old photos, macro photography, art of all kinds, Hawaii, the ocean, sea life, ukulele and guitar music, quilt designs, graphics, flowers, birds, swimming, watercolor, Zentangles, calligraphy, and fonts. For fun I like to freeze dry food, restore old photos digitally in Adobe Photoshop, and create digital art.

I love to learn and to teach what I've learned.

Come have fun with me and learn elementary math, freeze drying food, or Google Slides' creative tools.
