Class Experience

This is a one-time class for the beginner Google Slides user.  Google slides is an app that lets you create presentations for school.  With many schools online now, it is important to learn how to create a wonderful presentation.  More and more teachers are now requiring students to make presentations using Google Slides.  This class will guide students through the basic concepts of Google Slides.

In this class, we will do the following:
1.  Explore the toolbars and learn how to set up Google Slides.
2.  Learn how to select templates or themes
3.  Learn how to insert pictures and GIF's
4.  Learn how to arrange slides.
5.  Learn how to share slides with other people, so that the slides can be edited
6.  Learn how to share slides with other people, so that they cannot be edited. 

We will explore Google Slides and learn how to create slides.  We will not create a formal presentation in this class. I encourage and welcome student interaction and questions!  

Each student needs to have a Google account they can use for Google Slides before the class.

Learning Goals

Students will learn the first steps of Google Slides.  This class will make students more comfortable and confident using Google Slides.

Parental Guidance

We will use Google Slides in this class. Each student will need to have a Google account they can use for Google Slides before the class. The Google account can be a parent's account. The Google account does not have to be the student's personal account. We will also use Google to search for images to insert in their own Google Slide presentation.

Each student needs to have a Google account set up before class starts. They can use their school google account if they have one. Parents it is possible to create a Google account for your child under your Google account and manage it through the family link.

I have also taught students how to use different Google apps when creating book projects, technology presentations, and other school work online.  As well as assign work using Google Slides.
