- A laptop or desktop computer is REQUIRED for this class. (No tablets, please!) 
- A Google account is NOT REQUIRED for taking this class. I will use the Outschool classroom to send an editable Google Slides template to each student to work on in class. This can be used regardless of whether they are signed into an account or not. A Google account is RECOMMENDED though because it will be much easier for students to save their work and return to it later after class ends if they wish.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Google Sheets
Google Drive

"A parent-supervised Google account is recommended for this class, but NOT REQUIRED. If you choose to sign in to a Google account, this can be a) the parent's personal Google account that the child is allowed to use for this class, or b) a personal Google account created specifically for the student under parent supervision and monitoring. Please avoid using work or school Google accounts for this class. (Personal accounts will have usernames/emails ending with @gmail.com.)
**Students in this class are under age 13. Therefore, personal Google accounts MUST be carefully managed and supervised by a parent (per Google's age requirement policy).
Parent supervision is recommended when students search the internet for images or other information to ensure appropriate and accurate searches.

Learners will use Google Sheets to develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting their own educational goals and managing their own learning.  Learners will use Google apps to communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents and peers.
