During this class I will teach students how to build and modify basic formulas and functions in Google Sheets. Learning topics include: Review of Google Sheets Basics, Identification of Math Function Keys, Building Simple Addition, Subrtaction, Multiplication, and Division Formulas, Using the AutoSum Functions (Sum, Average, Max, Min, Count), Copying a Formula, and Showing a Formula. I will explain each skill, provide a demonstration, then give students time to try the skill on their own as they use formulas and functions to solve basic math problems in a Google Sheet. Students will need a Google Drive account and they should know the basics of Google Sheets: opening/closing, identifying colunms, rows and cells, and selecting a range of data.

Students will need a Google Drive account and they should know the basics of Google Sheets: opening/closing, identifying colunms, rows and cells, and selecting a range of data. Google Drive is a file storage and synchronization service developed by Google. A Google Drive account comes with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools, in addition to other Google applications such as Forms, Sites, and Maps.
