Technology is the way of the world. Many children are tech-savvy in ways that will not help propel them into the college world or job force. I want to provide real-world skills to students so that they can be successful in the future! I am also very proficient in technology. I have lead parent seminars on how to use Google products and technology and am a Level 1 Certified Google Educator!
After watching screen recordings with voice over, students will be required to alter Google Documents and Google Slides presentations to display their level of understanding on the material. Teacher feedback will be given!
Students are required to have a Google email (Gmail) before signing up for this class. Feel free to reach out to me for 1 on 1 guidance on how to do this if you need assistance! Students will be required to "file" "make a copy" of Google Docs and Google Slides to show proof of their application of acquired skills! They will "share" their copy to me, so that I can provide feedback on the document. Once it is completed, they will post the Docs and Slides to the classroom for teacher feedback and guidance. Office hours will be available for students who would like face-to-face assistance. Students will need a computer or electronic device to complete this course. If using a tablet or phone I highly suggest downloading the Google Docs and Google Slides app.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
