US Grade 9 - 11
This class is dedicated to the algebra that appears all over the place on the SAT. Algebra can can take different forms: from the slope-intercept form to solving x in terms of y, to inequalities involving variables. The sooner you can identify what the question is testing you on, the sooner you can get to the answer. This class is all about the practice problems: attempting to solve them with the clock running, and discussing them in a small group setting. We will come together as a team and search out the different paths to the solution.
Learning Goals
Students will master algebraic manipulation.
Students will become fluent in the relationship between algebraic equations and graphic representations of those equations.
