In addition, we will address specific problem areas such as jumping on people or furniture, begging for food, chewing, digging, barking and potty training. Each week, we will cover a topic and learn 2 dog obedience skills. I will model the skill with my dog, and the students will practice with their dogs. Learning Needs
Teacher demonstrates how to teach skills and uses presentations and video.
Parental Guidance
Dogs are unpredictable and may take longer to learn commands or tricks than expected. Some dogs may not be able to do certain tricks due to age or size. Space is needed to train dogs and not all dogs will be able to do every trick. Dogs are different from humans — A child may need to be reminded that dogs have a different way of communicating. It is recommended that you have the puppy or new dog at least 3 weeks before enrolling in a class.
Pre-Requisites
None.
