Class Experience

Who says you can’t enjoy delicious food when you are gluten free? Even if you can tolerate gluten, you will want to learn how to make these yummy meals and desserts such as pierogies, honey walnut shrimp or chicken, candies, cheesecakes, and more. All recipes can be made with or without gluten containing ingredients as most of the items used are naturally gluten free. Each week in this flex class I will post a video tutorial of how to prepare 1 recipe along with tips and variations for the recipe. I will also interact with students by responding to posts and questions and providing one on one guidance and support as needed. Students are encouraged to post pictures or videos featuring their creations along with any modifications they made or tips they have for others. Since this is a Self-Paced class, there will be no live meetings to allow for flexibility in student participation.

Week 1: Pierogies
Week 2: Mini Cheesecakes
Week 3: Scalloped Potatoes
Week 4: Potato Candy (You will never know this delicious treat has a potato in the recipe!)
Week 5: Meatballs with a bonus recipe for Alfredo Sauce
Week 6: Cake
Week 7: Honey Walnut Shrimp (or chicken)
Week 8: Old Fashioned Gumdrop Nougat Candy

My daughter and I both have celiac disease, so our lives depend on us having a strict gluten free lifestyle. We both love to cook, so we are always experimenting with new recipes and creating variations depending on ingredients we have on hand or what is available to us from our garden.
