Students will be able to properly follow a recipe and make adaptations to it as needed.
My daughter and I both have celiac disease, so our lives depend on us having a strict gluten free lifestyle. We both love to cook, so we are always experimenting with new recipes and creating variations depending on ingredients we have on hand or what is available to us from our garden.
Students are encouraged to post questions, comments, and photos and videos of their creations to the Outschool classroom.
Each week the featured recipes and tool and ingredient lists will be posted to the classroom.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be required to use various kitchen tools and appliances including knives, the stovetop, and the oven, and they may need guidance on using these items safely.
