As a father to an active 8 year old, I know that learning must be fun. The early years of a child’s education is critical not only for their future success but also their enjoyment of learning. I want to start kids off right on this journey. I have a Bachelor‘s degree from Geneva College with over a decade experience teaching children and teens. I have years of experience leading a classroom in both public schools in Ohio as well as online. I previously held credentials through the State of Ohio Department of Education (now expired). I taught in public schools for 2 school years where history and other social studies was part of my duties as an educator. I have over 5 years of experience teaching children on online platforms and have taught thousands of kids to love history. I pride myself on never letting kids get bored yet always be learning. I have a passion for helping children succeed.

There will be talk about pirate weapons such as cannons, swords and pistols. We will discuss briefly the punishments for pirates that broke the code (exiled or executed). This could be upsetting to young or sensitive learners. Links to kahoot quizzes will be posted on the classroom page each week.
