Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 2
Note: There are two variations of this class. One is being offered twice a week and one is three times a week. There must be a minimum of 3 enrolled students for the class to continue. This class is ongoing with no end date at this time. I continue to add dates as long as I have learners. Children may join at any time so please don't hesitate if you feel like it is the middle of the school year. They will fit right in very quickly.

****If your child is outside the age range but would benefit from the course, please feel free to enroll. I am happy to answer any and all questions. I have taught 9-year-olds in this course and they really enjoy it.
UPDATE: I now use NearPod for many of the activities.
Yes, Grammar!!! I love teaching grammar because it allows me so much room to teach it thematically. When I bring human interest topics into grammar, students eat it up. This ongoing class will be filled with activities. The themes will vary. Some may go several days and others just one day is needed. A healthy mix of teaching methods is used throughout every class. The subjects that will be integrated into this grammar course during the semester are science, social studies, art, music, and creative writing. Sometimes there will be handouts, online games, puzzles, drawing, short videos, and so much more. I am excited to Go Places with Grammar with your learner. I have been teaching for 30 years and call myself the visual teacher because I use all things visual to make learning more enjoyable. I have more books and manipulatives than I can count. I look forward to sharing all of my learning toys with your learner.
I am able to help each student at their level so don't be concerned if you feel they aren't quite ready. I will be able to monitor and assist each child as needed helping all to feel successful by the time class is finished each day.

I have several different classes on Tuesday/Thursdays and MWF. If you want to know where a specific class is "traveling" in our grammar class, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hello! My name is Erinn Santore. I am the founder and teacher of Treasure Quest Learning Adventures. I am super excited about teaching your child the many exciting treasures I have learned about people, places, and things. I have a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Science Degree in Education with an emphasis in Children's Literacy. I have 13 years of experience in the mainstream classroom but have been working closely with children in various settings for 30 years. I have been teaching English to children in China for VIPKID and absolutely love it. I am married to a courageous firefighter and have two children that I homeschool. My daughter is 8 and my son is 10. I am a leader in a large local homeschool co-op. Traveling around the world is a hobby of mine. I enjoy meeting people and learning about new cultures. Teaching is my passion and I am energized by it. Teaching your child will be the energy highlight of my day. I believe children learn best while being fully engaged which happens when fun is involved. When I love what I am teaching, they will love what they are learning. If I am not learning, I am not having fun. I look forward to having your child in my classroom.

Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere. -Chinese Proverb .
