Going on Bear Hunt Kindergarten Guided Reading Activity.
Emergent readers will enjoy going on an adventure to find a bear. As the students read along with me we will identify prepositions, retell the story and build language skills. Opportunity to meet me and see my teaching style.

Description
Class Experience
Who wants to go on a bear hunt? This class is designed for children ages 4 to 6 and is limited to 6 students. It's a fun engaging way for children to practice their reading skills, identify prepositions (position words eg. over, under, through) and engage in role playing. Children will read the text with me, "We're going on a bear hunt." We're going on a bear hunt." Children will role play the actions of the text as we read the book (moving their arms back and forth as we run from the bear)....
Students will identify preposition words. Students will read along with the teacher. Students will articulate their ideas in developing an animal hunt book. Students will learn new vocabulary. Students will act out the actions of the book while sitting.

Optional: I will send a copy of the book we develop in class. Children may read the book to their parents, stuffed animal or friends.
Children are welcome to bring their favorite Teddy Bear to class.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
