In this one-time class, join Pirate Bear as we have fun reading words on our treasure cards and going on a treasure hunt around our house! This class will be great for beginning readers and readers wanting to freshen up their skills.

Class Experience


Ahoy, Matey!  Join me in this one-time class, and have a fun time finding treasures!   

First, the teacher will pick a treasure card from the treasure chest.  Then the students will read the card to themselves, help will be provided for any students that are having trouble.  Next, the students will go on a treasure hunt to find the object on the card.  Last, they will return with their treasure to share with the class.

Students will work on vocabulary and blending skills to read words.

I have been teaching students reading skills for over 22 years!  I love helping students with the process of reading in fun and interactive ways!

0Students will find objects (treasures) around their house and share them with the class.  These will be objects that we read on our treasure cards, like sock and toy.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Students will go on a treasure hunt throughout their house to find the objects that we read on our card.  Please set boundaries for your child if there are certain areas or rooms that you do not wish your child to search in.
