Description
Class Experience
Beginner ASL students will learn to sign the first letter of their name, a “Hello” and “Goodbye” song, learn two fun Dinosaur songs in ASL, enjoy some gentle movement & stretching and lastly hear a fun story where they will sign along with the signs “yes” and “no”! A relaxed class for younger learners to enjoy music, ASL and fun!
Miss Dena has been teaching beginner American Sign Language in the classroom with young students for 8 years, her carefully crafted, Pretend play and music-based approach captures children’s imaginations with puppets and songs as they effortlessly learn ASL in a fun, exciting and engaging way!
Practice the variety of signs we learn in class by showing friends and family!
If students have a ball, a small toy dinosaur and some play food to utilize during class that would be wonderful, all props are optional.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
