Class Experience

Ready to fall in love with painting?     
   No painting experience is necessary.......Really!  
Just paint - a - long  with Ms. Muse and by the end of class time,  you will have created a masterpiece! 

 To save a little time for the fun painting,  we will all enter class with our paint already placed out, but will discuss the  set up of the rest of our  painting station together. 
 
Students will follow along step by step, as I paint details right in front of them.   

  I will demonstrate  how the paint colors work together and we'll layer these to create beautiful paintings with depth. 
 
They will learn painting terminology and some easy to remember  techniques that they can use in their own artwork. 

 If they choose, students can always share their masterpiece at the end of the class.   (This is never required)

 It's really exciting to see how proud they are of their work.  
Watch as they improve with each painting they create!

Supply List

ACRYLIC Paint Colors  
Choice of white canvas 
or 
black PAINTED canvas.     
 ****With an adult's help , You can dry the black paint quickly with a WARM hairdryer 
prior to class.   

 
Go ahead and get your paint colors out when entering the waiting room/classroom.

Venetian Red ( any Brick Red )

11x14 canvas or watercolor paper  or multi - media paper
*Please note, the structure/ timing of the class is geared toward  SPECIFICALLY  11x14.
 This manageable size allows for ample time to work on each step, 
 and for all levels of painters to enjoy success.      

3 different sized Brushes : 
 1 " Flat brush 
Medium ROUND  brush  ( size 8 or size 10 )
Small Detail ROUND brush ( size 3 or 4) 

 2 Bowls  of water 
EXTRA Paper towels  or old cloth.
Paint smock 
Long hair tied back &
Protected surface

CAMERAS will be asked to be ON during class for attendance purposes.  
 As you know, Outschool classes are specifically for children.
