In this summer camp, we will use watercolor techniques and gesso to paint glow in the dark paintings, play interactive games, maintain educational discussions and learn fun educational facts about what we paint. #creative

Class experience

Beginner Level
In this summer art club, each student will learn how to draw various subject matter using basic shapes and simple lines 
In this summer art club,  each student will paint a painting using watercolor and various water color techniques
In this summer art club, each student will use a combination of gesso, glow in the dark paint and sunlight to make their painting glow at night
In this summer art club, each student should also be able to leave the classroom with a deeper understanding of what we are painting
I have gone to school for art education and have obtained my teaching degree via Grand Valley State University and have been certified for art education for grades young five through twelfth grade. I specialize in integrating general curriculum subject matter such as art, English, science, social studies and history into my lesson plans to ensure homeschool population gets ample opportunity to meet minimum state standards while learning how to draw and having fun. I have also had experience teaching in a vastly diverse environment and understand the importance of adhering to different cultural expectations and taking the time to understand people's different perspectives. 
Homework Offered
Each student will need to charge their paintings by placing them under natural sunlight for a few hours.
0 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Each learner has an opportunity to test their knowledge through the use of fun and interactive trivia games.
Grades Offered
Those with anxiety have the option to turn off their cameras after attendance has been taken and use the chat box/reactions to participate. All directions are given in step by step format & the pace of the class is determined by the learner
Being comfortable with drawing basic shapes is essential for this class.
