Class Experience

✨ Do you have a child who enjoys stories, princesses and glittery things, craves friendship, and wants learning to be fun? Glitter Girls is a circle time, story time, and friendship making group where young learners can be themselves and find their new BFFs from the comfort of their own homes. I will be dressed in frills (complete with face glitter and a princess tiara) to lead our friendship adventure with my magic wand in hand. Participating in the Glitter Girls course will strengthen students' reading comprehension, empathy, letter recognition, letter sounds, turn-taking, number recognition, counting, one-to-one correspondence, colors, critical thinking, fine-motor, gross-motor, and social skills. Students will also learn to appreciate individuals for exactly who they are.

I am an award-winning, certified classroom teacher with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. I have nine years of in-person teaching experience and one year of online teaching experience. I have one year of experience working as a behavioral analysis direct therapist of children. 

I am a mother of five, including a three year old daughter who is the ultimate glitter-loving girl, and four boys whose interests all vary greatly. My children are always craving more friends, stories, songs, knowledge, and opportunities to share, so I know how beneficial the experience of this group is for each and every learner. I had the experience of being an only child growing up, and I definitely would have loved a course like this!

None

Tiaras, sparkles, princess dresses, or any dress up items or makeup are always welcome in our class, but they are not required. Students should bring an item for show and tell and set aside until the end of class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
