Upcoming Schedule August 6-12: Activity Brainstorming & Brookhaven August 13-19: Fan Meeting August 20-26: Sticker Making August 27-Sept 2: Uno Calling all Tweens & Teens! This is your place to hang out! Join us each week for a Roblox game or an activity you want to do! We will begin our time with introductions and sharing. Learners are welcome to share anything they'd like to get to know each other. Sharing is optional and they do not have to share if uncomfortable. After our social time, we either play a Roblox game or have an art project, a craft, a recipe, or whatever else interests us and is on our activity board. An digital file of an activity board will be kept and learners can contribute Roblox game ideas and their interests. What do you like to do? What are your hobbies? What inspires you? It all goes on the board! Activities will be separated in 5 major categories: Roblox Games, arts & crafts, cooking, books/movies/shows, and miscellaneous. Below are only examples of activities for each category. Roblox Games: Adopt Me, Brookhaven, Among Us Crafts: clay, drawing, paper maché, sticker making. Cooking: snacks, sweets, side dishes, milkshakes. Books/Movies/Shows: Anime, Warrior Cats, Cuphead Show Miscellaneous: this category is for club members to suggest any particular interests they have. Examples are plushies, and nail art. This club will be personalized to each club member so they are included and we all can get to know each other. They can share their favorite Roblox games, favorite songs, favorite recipes and so on and these will be incorporated into our club! A typical schedule will alternate between playing a Roblox game and another activity. Here is the upcoming schedule: Join us to unwind, burn some energy, meet new friends, and have a blast! *On Roblox days, it is best for learners to join our Outschool class on one device and play Roblox on a separate device. *Learners should already have Roblox installed on their chosen device. Once a student enrolls, I will send a private message to obtain their Roblox username.
Learning Goals
Students will practice social and public speaking skills. They will engage in coordination, gross motor, fine motor, and gaming activities. They will gain confidence and develop friendships.

The Official Roblox website has 3 categories of age recommendations for games. The categories are as follows:
𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝘀:Content is generally suitable for all ages. May contain infrequent mild violence and/or light unrealistic blood.
𝗔𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝟵+:Content is generally suitable for ages 9 and up. May contain frequent mild violence and/or heavy unrealistic blood.
𝗔𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝟭𝟯+:Content is generally suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain frequent moderate violence and/or light realistic blood.

In order to play Roblox on a private server, sharing of the learners gamer tag with the teacher is required. Learners currently enrolled in the class are only allowed in the private servers. Private servers will also be closed when class is not in session. 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥'𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲, 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦. Learners need to take extra caution when cooking during class. Cooking classes may include including the use of a stove, microwave, oven, knives, or necessary tools that need to be handled safely. Adult supervision is strongly recommended during cooking classes to avoid safety hazards. Additionally, please inform the instructor of any food allergens or dietary restrictions so that they may be avoided, Possible allergen ingredients include wheat, dairy, eggs, or soy. Tree nuts or other nuts will not be used as an ingredient for cooking.

I've worked with children for 20 years, starting as a camp counselor teaching drama classes.
