In this one time social class, girls will be given a virtual hangout opportunity to chat with one another and practice socializing.
Class experience
This class will be an opportunity for girls to chat and socialize with one another. We will meet each time and talk about anything from what happened last week, what we want to be when we grow up, and things they like to do for fun. Each week I will have some fun questions, but the goal is for the students to steer the the conversations and freely talk. This is a student led class. This class is taught in English.
Because this will be a student led, discussion based class, students may bring up content related to cultural or social matters parents may be sensitive to. I will always guide the conversation to maintain appropriateness and intervene if I feel a student talks about something that is inappropriate. The main purpose of this course is to provide students with a safe environment in which every participant feels comfortable.
