Girls Social Club! Sparkle Squad: Glowing Girls, Growing Friendships! (12-16)

Welcome to the Sparkle Squad: Glowing Girls, Growing Friendships! This virtual social club is designed for girls in 7th to 12th grade who are ready to shine, make new friends, and have a semester full of fun! (This club is year round, join at anytime!)

Join Ms. Shannon for an exciting summer filled with interactive activities, engaging discussions, and endless opportunities to connect with fellow sparkle sisters! Each week, we’ll hang out, build friendships, share highs and lows, play fun games, and have plenty of girl talk! Expect activities that foster kindness, cooperation, and friendship. Build lasting relationships and learn what it means to be a supportive friend.

Every voice in our classroom is important. It is the honor and responsibility of an educator to encourage the quiet voices, amplify the unheard ones, and moderate the consistent sharers. The most dynamic classroom conversations happen when everyone participates. There is a beautiful space that is created when individual voices come together, teaching and learning from one another in a safe and warm environment. I encourage the more reserved as well as the outgoing to join this social club, where there is friendship and a place for every girl! 

Between the ages of 8 and 14, girls' confidence levels can fall by 30%. Of course, puberty can be a stormy time for confidence in both genders. But research shows that girls experience a much more significant, dramatic drop. The good news is confidence can also be encouraged, nurtured, even created during these turbulent years. We are honored to provide a safe space where each girl can feel comfortable, try something new, and always be encouraged. I want each girl to feel empowered, strong, and valued and most importantly to know that they are loved just for who they are! 


Beyond Hanging Out!

Interactive Games: Enjoy a mix of virtual games that encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and lots of laughter. Get ready for scavenger hunts, trivia challenges, and more!

Story Sharing and Break Out Rooms: Share your favorite stories, books, music, movies/shows and experiences with the group. Let's build connections through shared interests as well as leaning into new things!

Theme Days: Totally chosen by your girls! Should we have a pajama party? Beach vacay? Wild hair day? (oh wait, me everyday!) Magic manicure day?

Talent Shows: Showcase your unique talents in our virtual talent show. Whether it’s singing, dancing, magic tricks, art, or a special skill, every talent is celebrated in the Sparkle Squad! Ms. Shannon has a special talent for helping girls find what they're good at and encouraging them to believe in their unique and special gifts. The world needs exactly who you were created to be! 

A list of simple materials will be provided in advance for each session if we have something special happening- but most days, just bring yourself and your sparkling smile!
