What's included
1 live meeting
1 hrs 15 mins in-class hours per weekHomework
1 hour per week. Most projects will be completed by the end of class, some projects may require a final step after class and I will explain instructions when necessary along with posting the final step to complete the project.Class Experience
This is an after school-club style class that allows girls to talk about everything girl related while creating fun arts and crafts projects. Each week I will come ready with a girl-related topic such as sports, hair, pets, animals, school, how to make friends at school, music, and movies to guide the conversation. Girls in class are encouraged to come with their own topics and interests to discuss with the club while we enjoy creating memorable arts & crafts. Supply list: Throughout August we will continue our color-blend art work in which we focus on creating original artwork inspired by photography. We will review the different elements as a class and I will demonstrate how to draw anything your learner wants demonstrated! Because many students are traveling for summer vacation I have a flexible supply list but recommend having pencil/eraser, paper to draw on (I recommend construction paper), and learner's choice of either markers/colored pencils/crayons/or anything else they'd like to color with! (some learners choose to use paint, that is perfectly fine as well!) Girls in class will be encouraged to talk with each other and make friends. There is no prior knowledge or experience required to take this class. We will make a different arts & crafts project each week with students communicating on the classroom board in between classes to stay in touch and post pictures of their crafts. Most classes have at least 2 learners of each age however if there are concerns about age please message me directly and I will provide you with the ages of enrolled learners for the section you’re interested in. Projects will include things such as rock photo holders, abstract paintings, growing borax crystals, handprint keychains, Kool-aid rock candy, making sidewalk paint, rainbow popsicles, leaf prints, homemade play dough, unicorn lemonade, and others! The majority of projects will be completed at the end of class but some of the projects such as growing crystals and freezing popsicles may be completed after a final step and pictures posted on the chat between classes. Please note: this was originally a 1 hour class, I’ve added an extra 15 minutes for those who wish to stay during clean up time and extra time socializing with other learners. Craft instruction will be completed in 1 hour and students may choose to leave at that time (or they’re welcome to stay the extra 15 minutes).
Learning Goals
Students will form lasting memories with friends while creating enjoyable arts & crafts projects.
