In this ongoing class, girls will come together weekly to just talk! We are in a time where socializing is few and far between. I have seen how excited the girls are when they enter my classroom and just want to share, whether it is their pet, a new game, an art project they are working on, etc. I consider my classroom a safe and nurturing space and look forward to spending time with your daughter and chatting away. Oh how fun! This is an ongoing class, so you can go in and out as needed. *Tell each other about ourselves *Share what you like to collect. *Hobbies *What would you like to do when you grow up? *What is something unique about you? *Do you have a pet? Show-n-tell time. *What makes you happy? Why? *Food: Bring your favorite snack to eat. Have you ever made anything in the kitchen? *Summer: If you could go anywhere, where would you go? *What is your favorite book? Bring it to share with everyone. ***Topics will continue as we move on.... **The class expectations are: Be kind always. Mute yourself if you have background noise so that we can hear each other. Everyone will be given a chance to speak. Don’t talk over your friends when they are speaking. If you’d like to speak, you can raise your hand to be called on next. Just have fun! ** My teaching style is organized and full of fun while being relaxed and friendly at the same time. So come be a part of my class!
Learning Goals
*Students will build on their social skills through this class with fun discussions facilitated by the teacher and student centered.

I have been teaching for over 36 years which has included Pre-k thru 2nd grade and I am certified to teach up to 8th grade. I am also certified Gifted and Talented, as well as ESL. My passion is literacy which includes reading, writing, language, speaking, and listening. I incorporate literacy throughout all subject areas and look forward to making your child’s learning fun and interesting at the same time! As a teacher, I want to motivate my students to enjoy the learning process. I want them to be able to make real-life connections through reading and become critical thinkers as they grow in their learning. I am a Texas girl living in Michigan and I am also the proud mother of an Aggie lawyer, Brandon who is married to an Aggie lawyer, Lesley! They live in the DFW area. No grandchildren yet. In my free time, I like to make quilts, paint on wood, go camping with my sisters, and work on my flower beds. I love the color pink! Finally, I have 2 miniature schnauzers named Cooper and Sawyer! They are brothers and pretty silly! I can’t wait to meet your son or daughter. See you soon!
